First of all, I would like to wish each and every reader a very Happy Valentines' day! Be it by yourself or with a loved one, Valentines day is a day where you show love not only to your partner, but also to your family, and your friends!
Today I'll be sharing some songs with you that go through different aspects of love, such as romance, a first love, a confession etc... , so I hope you like this special playlist!
Sharon Kwan-First Love
Well, from the title I think it's pretty obvious which aspect of love this song is trying to represent. It's a kind of shy love; bittersweet but at the same time pure and innocent. I'm sure many of you have experienced this feeling, and have many memories of this kind of love!
This is a surprising choice even for me, but it seems that many people are using this song to confess their love to their prospective other halves! And so far, they seem pretty successful too! (I think.) Anyway, I hope this song gives you enough energy, courage and bravery to go up to the person that you like and confess how you feel to them. So go on, what are you waiting for? Dawen sends you the best of luck!
To me, this is the perfect song that represents feelings of romance in general. So this one is for those of you who have recently been successful in your love exploits, and are able to feel the exhilarating, bubbly warmth that exudes from being in L-O-V-E. 'Nuff said. Have a listen!
Claire Kuo-The beauty of being single
Those of you out there who are jealous that you don't have anyone this Valentines' day, don't be! Take some time out to love yourself, and treat yourself! Sit back, relax and be happy. Relationships ain't all that it's cut out to be anyway-why do you think there are so many break up songs? Having no one holding you back, being independent and able to make decisions by yourself is really an infinitely important advantage, so hold on to it and treasure it while you can!
Well that concludes my Valentines' Day playlist (sorry it's pretty short). But I hope that these songs help you in some way or another, to feel the love and happiness that you should on Valentines day! Happy Valentines' Day from Asian Pop Weekly!
Wishing you a happy Chinese New Year from Olivia, Mixion, Nick Chou, Tanya Chua, Lala Hsu And miss Ko!

The wait is finally over!!! Olivia Ong will be releasing her newest album in just a couple of days ; it is called <wait wait> (等等) , as is the first single. After the success of her most recent album to date , I am so excited to see what she comes up with this time!
Olivia will be releasing her album on the 17th of May and has already released the music video for three singles , <deng deng>(wait) , <ai gou le>(Ive loved enough) and <tong hua>(assimilate); the latter of which was written by her close friend and producer zai zai!
So far , she has described the theme of the album to be like the colour of the cover; a sweet strawberry pink with blends of woody accents. I believe that her new album will again be romantic in a new and refreshing way , playing on the wistful and sweet aspect of love , while in her last album , she focused more on the excitement of new romance.

Watch her new single/s below:
and an extra little bonus that I'm really happy about: the collaboration of Olivia Ong and Anthony neely! being label mates and also friends , I have always hoped that they would sing together some day after hearing them doing an impromptu duet on the radio. My dream has finally come true! Here is their collaboration on Olivia's new song<dui le , wo cuo le>(You're right , Im wrong)
The first category we have here is 'Love at first sight'. Its a hard category to get into and there are very few selective participants chosen. Love at first sight refers to an album (not a singer) who captured my interest on the first listen.
Unfortunately this year although there have been many artists who have indeed caught my eye or have very promising albums , the nominee and winner of this category is Olivia Ong's 'Romance' . From this first listen i was totally encaptured by her sultry voice in combination with the just-right mix of melancholy , whimsy and excitement that is Romance. I thiroughly enjoyed the album , and recommend it to any who havebt yet listened to it.
