Andrew Chen and Bii's duet <势在必行>(Imperative) has rendered them one of the best and most popular male pairings in the music industry ever since the debut of that single, and for fans of this pairing, you'll be excited to know that more of it is coming your way! The boss of Eagle music has decided to try something new and has built on the success of the Duo that is Andrew and Bii, while also adding on two new and talented singer-songwriters to form a new band called IV勢在必行2(To be imperative 2). But they are definitely not just any boyband. What kind of boyband is able to brag two handsome, talented and successful solo artists? This combination is refreshing and clearly different from anything I've ever seen before; and I'm really excited to see what kind of chemistry they are going to have.
Here's the second single by boyband <Imperative 2>, called <Grow>. Featuring two of the members, solo artist Bii and Dino. But the boys are getting their big guns out this time around.. Both the lyrics and melody for this song were written by Dino, proving that this group of guys aren't just any boyband. The same goes for the solo single that Bii performs called <Find the way>, with the melody and lyrics by Ian!
Their debut album as a group is set for release on the 28th of March, and their very first music video is to be released today!
It is my pleasure to let you know that I have opened a facebook page for Asian pop weekly so that you can be updated even more conveniently with the latest news about your favourite singers and albums! As facebook is my main source of information, I'll mainly be sharing news from the official websites of artists and providing short translations if I can about events they may be having or perhaps new albums that might be coming out soon. There are also lots of promising new singers and bands who use facebook as their main source of interaction , so I think it would make it a lot easier to introduce them to you guys!
Also I guess it would be a better platform on which you could request lyric translations , or provide me with any feedback or questions that you may have. I hope that you can support asianpopweekly by liking us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/asianpopweeklyweebly .
Thanks to all readers for your continual support and hope to see you on the facebook page soon!

It’s all here. The new singles composed by the three Adonis’ of Eagle Music (Asian Pop Weekly & Taiwan Beats collaboration)

The three Adonis’ of Eagle Music－Bii, Dino and Ian are all releasing their singles on the 31st of July. Lee Ya-Ming, their boss, says that he has faith in the three singers and that there’s no pressure. Each of these singers has their own characteristic style and it will be left to the market to decide who is better. Before the release date, the singers also promote each other’s’ singles, showing less competition, and more of a mutual sense of appreciation.
Bii’s debut album “Bill Story” has become the theme song of an idol drama and he has gained substantial publicity since then. This time, he releases a new EP along with a micro film “Love More”. Besides recording the Korean composition “B-A-B-Y” Bii composed previously, the album also includes an entirely new Chinese composition “”Love More”, which is incidentally the theme song for the upcoming idol drama “Love Cuisine”. In the song “Love More”, Bii has tried to sing a happy love song with a childish voice and a playful tone for the first time. In the second part of the song, Bii then raps handsomely in Korean and combined with a guitar solo, the song indeed is bound to capture the hearts of all listeners. It is indeed a romantic and sweet love song that will melt your heart.

After releasing his self-composed debut album “The Cozy Life of Rock ‘n’ Roll” in 2014, Dino still insists on doing things the rock ‘n’ roll way. Using the similar pronunciation of “SHOUT” and “xiao”〈the Chinese saying of “laugh”〉as a pun in his latest single “SHOUT”, Dino jokes around and describes the emotional dilemma he is facing as the feeling that there’s nothing he can do to fix it. “Shout” is produced by Chen Wei and arranged by Dino and members〈G. Wei-Lee and Hwaidy〉of the band Lao Ding Ju. The electric guitar rumbles at the beginning, and as the sound of the guitar piles up, Dino’s murmurs turn into hysterical screams, truly capturing the essence of rock.

“Somewhere Without You” is a song composed and produced by Chen Wei. With the piano as the main instrument, Ian sings the song sincerely and forthrightly. There’s always a place in our minds we feel so familiar with, but at the same time, so foreign. This is a rock ballad that opens up suddenly and conveys positive thoughts. What’s more, the new EP “Somewhere without You” also includes the song “Emperor of the Legend”, which is full of musical elements from the historical three kingdoms’ period. They also invited Phebe Chou, the young and talented arranger who played the erhu in Jay Chou’s “Worldly Tavern” and “Ends of the Earth Passing Traveler” to arrange the song, creating a perfect blend of traditional Chinese music and the rock ‘n’ roll of the west.
