Taiwanese singer-songwriter Waa Wei (魏如萱) took to social media on Sunday to announce that she is pregnant.
Despite her pregnancy, she confirmed that her upcoming shows will still go on, and so will preparations for her new album.
Rumours of Waa Wei’s pregnancy were rife since April, but she shrugged them off via social media.
The 35-year-old shared that the initial stage of her pregnancy was unstable and it took her a while to overcome her feelings of unease.
Those early days saw her getting injections and taking medicine.
That’s why she waited some time before making her pregnancy officially known.

However, she kept fans in the dark of her baby’s gender.
Divulging that her gynaecologist previously warned that she would have difficulties conceiving, she did consider exploring other methods of pregnancy - like freezing her eggs.
But she decided to take things as they came - and she and her boyfriend heard the good news when they least expected it.
The multiple-time Golden Melody Awards nominee has kept her relationship with actor Chris Lung (隆宸翰) under wraps since the pair first met in 2012.
Then, they were co-actors in a series of musicals.
Her post also marks her first time acknowledging their relationship to the public, describing them as more like good friends than lovers.

Popular Mandopop singers JJ Lin (林俊傑) and Han Hong (韓紅) dropped their first-ever musical collaboration, Lift Me Up (飛雲之下) on 23 April.
The song, which speaks to those who have left their homeland, has been making its rounds on Spotify and KKBOX, hitting #40 on the latter’s music charts (as of 6 May).
If you haven’t heard it yet, prepare to be awed by Lin and Han’s abilities to hit all the high notes - especially towards the end.
And with its soothing accompaniments and the melody’s gradual build-up, the tune is reminiscent of soaring amongst the clouds.
Han: Dueting ‘Lift Me Up’ gives it a ‘different feeling’ altogether.
In a video interview posted on JFJ Productions’ Facebook page, both Lin and Han spoke well of their collaboration process. Han said it was extremely enjoyable, while Lin gave it 3 thumbs-ups.
Singing nothing but praises for her junior, Han described Lin as a gifted musician and said there would probably be no one like JJ Lin for the next 100 years.
Lin called Han a ‘genius singer’.
Lin meanwhile dubbed the Chinese-Tibetan singer-songwriter as a genius - divulging that she took just 30 minutes to finish recording her parts.
But with 3 Golden Melody Awards under his belt, Lin’s musical prowess is no less than hers.
Together, their soulful voices have produced this stellar 4.5 minutes of art that will tug at the heartstrings of all their listeners.
