G.E.M. 鄧紫棋 is currently in the midst of a two-year-long world tour aka the “Queen of Hearts” and will make her way back to the United States on April 1st for a concert in Uncasville, Connecticut.
This is the first time the Hong Kong-based singer will be holding a concert on U.S soil, since her last embark in November 2015. When she held a concert in Newark, New Jersey for her “G.E.M. X.X.X Live World Tour”.
G.E.M has been busy touring for much of 2017, and have had multiple shows across Australia, China, along with other major cities like Hong Kong, Macao, and Singapore. In addition to that, she will be holding three consecutive concerts in Taiwan from March 23rd to March 25th before heading out to Connecticut in April.
For fans out west, it might worthwhile to make the trip out to Connecticut to see G.E.M live later this month, as it is unknown when and where her next show in North America will be.
For all those who have been hurt over love many years ago, have those scars healed yet? Penny Dai, one of the most talented veterans within the Chinese music industry may have the answer ready for you during her "Thief賊" world tour which kicks off this August the 13th at the Taipei Arena.
During a lifetime, many experiences can be intimately linked to the songs one has heard, causing them to be so previous and worthy of safekeeping. So out of all the singers whose songs we've heard over the years, what feeling does Penny's music leave in our memories?
For me, her crisp, smooth vocals have always left me with a feeling of melancholy and serenity, yet which has a big element of creativity to it.
But unlike how I and many other fans may see her, her latest world tour theme instead brings out a feeling of old-soul whimsy that comes out unexpectedly, sneaky as a thief!
Tai's concert was named "Thief" because she hopes that if there is a chance, one may use the songs these concert brings which has once stolen away our tears, our youth, and our happiness, to create a thief of memories.
Secretly looking back and recollecting on old memories that perhaps have not had complete closure. Those scars, have they healed? Have you let go of those grudges from long time past? And once you walk through those doors of the arena, one will once again be filled with energy to move forward.
The concert in itself also will prove to be full f unexpected experiences. Nothing is out of the question for Penny, who has previously cut off her long hair in front of a roomful of fans. So what will be in store for us this time around?
Penny says for this concert she has put the program in the hands of the production team for many previous Kings and Queens; allowing the concert to be one built around how the professionals see her and her personality.
The concert will be the first time Penny has taken to the stage at the Taipei arena despite her many years within the industry. Penny states that she usually has an aversion to holding large scale performances; however after many things had happened over these past two years, she has struck up her courage and agreed to hold a concert at Taipei arena.
Certainly an important milestone for Peggy, I hope she will expand her tour soon to other parts of the world!

A great big welcome back to Stefanie Sun; a long-awaited return considering what's been going on in her life recently. Her first single from her new album, <Kepler> really allow us to feel a loss of spatiality and timelessness. With lyrics and melody interestingly written by indie band Hush, it's a song that combines fresh elements of rock with folk, making you feel as if you're a planet orbiting the Sun. And yes, pun intended.
She's releasing this single as a promo for her new concert world tour, as below. We've missed you Stefanie!
