It is my pleasure to let you know that I have opened a facebook page for Asian pop weekly so that you can be updated even more conveniently with the latest news about your favourite singers and albums! As facebook is my main source of information, I'll mainly be sharing news from the official websites of artists and providing short translations if I can about events they may be having or perhaps new albums that might be coming out soon. There are also lots of promising new singers and bands who use facebook as their main source of interaction , so I think it would make it a lot easier to introduce them to you guys!
Also I guess it would be a better platform on which you could request lyric translations , or provide me with any feedback or questions that you may have. I hope that you can support asianpopweekly by liking us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/asianpopweeklyweebly .
Thanks to all readers for your continual support and hope to see you on the facebook page soon!
This band is seriously one that i would recommend to anyone. Don't be fooled by their boyband appearance ; 4ever is one slickly put together band with awesome pairings of members. Unlike their predecessors such as Fahrenheit and Lollipop , I hate to say it but these guys are really something else. No unprofessional singing in unison for them ; even when they share the verses it is done smoothly and purposefully. Taking its cue from the korean boybands such as Boyfriend , they have a member , Na Tie who does rap only , but once again does it with purpose so that its not just randomly thrown into the songs. The songs are constructed skilfully by one of my favourite singer/producers , Xiao Yu , and his signature style lends itself to the boys' style favourably. Jolin , (the one with the tattoo) has a surprisingly unique and strong voice which can certainly hold a tune. Qin Yue , (the one with the long hair) and Di En both too have promising voices. Acapella styling is used throughout as well , which puts them apart from other boybands with less skilful techniques and skills. Qin Yue also writes songs , and from the looks of it is quite good at it , as he wrote the single <找你的地图> ( The map to finding you) with xiao yu which is catchy and likeable. Their third MV <Let's Go> , (song also written by Xiao Yu) embraces the song perfectly and presents a groovy hip-hop song with slick choreography. Their first MV <4ever> is a bit of a letdown as a comparison to the other singles as it really is a copy of every other single by a generic boyband , but other than that I really do believe that they have the potential to go far and I hope you will support them too! The MVS for (4ever) ,(The map to finding you) and (Let's Go) is below.
