Here's what rainie has to say about her new album ,<Angel Wings>!
Rainie: I still remember when I released my first album <Ambiguous> , at that time the recording company nicknamed me the <stubborn angel>...no wonder me and "Angels" have a affinity after all these years. But truthfully, I'm not a person who romanticises and dreams, so I always thought that the term angel was not very suited for me! Until this album, it has let me realise, "angels" are not necessarily helpless, gentle, faraway, they are actually down to earth, strong and very near by! They can be a 'he' or a 'she' or an 'it' , you can't be certain...every person will be someone's angel , one day you(or you) will also spread your wings to protect, to love and to be strong! They can come in many shapes and forms ! When you meet it/him/her, you will know...
In your lives, was there previously an angel?-Rainie Yang on her new album

I've really enjoyed Olivia's newest album waiting , and this is my first impression from listening to it:
Olivia is not a daredevil , a risk taker , but she is more than willing to try something new each time. This album is a blend of old and new ; comfort and excitement for all listeners. This time around she's interchangeably used her signature dulcet tones but also her smooth , songbird like vocals , showing off her versatility. I notice a hint of rebellion in this album ; although it may be named <waiting> , Olivia teaches us that Waiting doesn't necessarily mean waiting and tolerating lovers ; it means doing whatever it takes to wait for the right person to come , be it being yourself , expressing your own ideals or compromising when you know its the right person that's standing in front of you at that moment. Thank you Olviia , for what you've taught us about this album ; from her perspective , the theme of love never gets old!
If you're like me , you'd probably understand this ; sometimes when I listen to songs things about the song pop into my head and I write them down. i'd like to share my thoughts on a few songs from Khalil's most recent album with all of you!
This is one of my favourite songs on the album l but my only grudge is that the guitar solo near the end feels a teensy bit indulgent , and leaves me wondering when its going to end. But I love hearing him go back to his wonderland roots with his bluesy-soul fusion too!
Love the grungy , murky undertones in this song , as it goes well with the energetic melody line and helps to cut out the tension in the song from Khalil's relatively high vocal range in this song. Really gives it a little grease to get the rhythm going in the song.
The tag nearing the end of the song with the repetition of “听妈妈说" is really interesting; with every new round of the lyrics there is no repetition ; new elements are added to the song each time around using only Khalil's voice to change the dynamics , to improvise and to change the rhythm. I never get sick of it because of the wonderful euphoria of sound within this song. Well done on the dynamics and the pulsing of it with the melody is just spot-on.
This are a few of the songs that have been repeatedly played by me since the start of this year , and are some of my favourite songs that I would like to share with you! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
