The wait is finally over!!! Olivia Ong will be releasing her newest album in just a couple of days ; it is called <wait wait> (等等) , as is the first single. After the success of her most recent album to date , I am so excited to see what she comes up with this time!
Olivia will be releasing her album on the 17th of May and has already released the music video for three singles , <deng deng>(wait) , <ai gou le>(Ive loved enough) and <tong hua>(assimilate); the latter of which was written by her close friend and producer zai zai!
So far , she has described the theme of the album to be like the colour of the cover; a sweet strawberry pink with blends of woody accents. I believe that her new album will again be romantic in a new and refreshing way , playing on the wistful and sweet aspect of love , while in her last album , she focused more on the excitement of new romance.

and an extra little bonus that I'm really happy about: the collaboration of Olivia Ong and Anthony neely! being label mates and also friends , I have always hoped that they would sing together some day after hearing them doing an impromptu duet on the radio. My dream has finally come true! Here is their collaboration on Olivia's new song<dui le , wo cuo le>(You're right , Im wrong)
Songstress Tanya has released a single called <Easy Come , Easy Go> featuring MC HotDog to promote her new concert tour. It does not disappoint , and her husky , seductive voice has caught the exact atmosphere of the song ; easy come and easy go is the perfect name for this song.
Harlem yu , the Godfather of mandopop has released another single called <关不掉的眼泪(the tears that cannot be shut off). He stays true to his rock roots and presents us with a refreshing fusion once again.
Rene Liu has also released her new album with this track called <亲爱的路人>(beloved passerbys). A simple song with her velvety voice brings comfort and honesty with every note sang.
Looking back on my selection of songs for this post , it seems to be like the gathering of talented veterans in the industry. Just as well , as we should cherish not only the new and refreshing talents , but also those who have contributed their talent to the industry for so many years!
people who may be a fan of rainie or the hit movie <You're the apple of my eye> would recognise this sweetie pie actress michelle chen , who has just recently released her own album consisting of a few songs including an English track named <Sorry> which she penned the lyrics for herself. Although the actress is said to have studied previously in America , her lyrics are a little stilted and her accent heavy which took away from this piece. However , her sweet and lilting voice has a mesmerising quality and she would definitely be one to watch out for. The effort that she has put into this album is evident ; she has been eager to tell fans about it since late last year.
I hope that she finds success with this album and will be posting more updates on her; watch this space!
