A scientific experiment with music, idiots! Focus! Passionate! Off-line
Joanna's album which has been released on the 2nd of June <Bob Music> is full of cartoon electronic game music genres; allowing fans to dive into the world of Joanna Wang. She willa lso be performing at Legacy in Taichung on the 13th of June!
For this album Joanna's music is full of her imagination and of themes that don't make sense. The name of the album is called <Bob> because in English, 'Bob' means to nod your head, and goes well with the 4/4 time signature of this album, which has a fast and refreshing allowing others to also start dancing to the music. This time she was also the album's producer, scripting the Music videos and also being in charge of the artistic visuals of the album. Other than that, Joanna also collaborated with two of her high school friends in order to put together the visuals of the music videos because "we all have interlacing memories of high school and our favourite music". She puts forth that this album's theme and ideas all came from the perspective of a 'high school girl', allowing her to pull out lots of exciting imaginative emotions.
This is a 1+1 band, all members come from different professions. In the daytime they all have their own careers they are working hard at; but all are connected by their love for music and thus created 'Men Envy Children'. The meaning of this name reflects on a hope all members have towards their music; hoping that it will always be innocent and inquisitive, vibrant in imagination and allowing life to be full of energy-just like children.

With the energy of Mayday, the relevance of Sodagreen and the warmth and honesty of S.H.E, new Taiwanese band Men Envy Children may have seemingly popped up out of nowhere, but it’s guaranteed that they’re here to stay. Their debut album ‘Everything’ features a hearty serve of pop-rock and is spiced with heart-warming and relatable lyrics which have swept Taiwanese audiences off their feet. The band have the sound of experienced pros-after all, they are all experienced players in Taiwan’s music and arts industries. You COULD say that they’re all moonlighting as artists on the side, but it sounds kind of out of place when you find out that by day they are for the most part high-flying executives. Indeed, Men Envy Children are a band that are in it purely due to their longstanding passion for music. Going by their band name, MEn Envy Children (or MEC for short) see themselves as a bunch of individuals who aim to inject the playfulness, the innocence and most of all, the capacity of children to dream into their music. But this album is far from child’s play. Produced and mostly co-written with acclaimed Mandopop producer Skot Suyama, immensely likable melodies, moving arrangements and intricate, beautiful yet hard-hitting lyrics have certainly made MEC a hit among Taiwanese audiences, and I believe that it would resonate well with international audiences too.

Accepting ones' own uniqueness, being proud of these unique characteristics.
"Be yourself, because everyone else is taken"-Oscar Wilde
A-fu's musical creates are in a category of their own!
Within this album, A-fu was involved in every step of each song's production. Other than producing the entire album with her friend He Guan-ding, she was also he composer for each and every song in the album. From her personality we can see Gemini's curiosity and versatile characteristics. After sharing a work that is made entirely from her own perspective, and getting lyricists to help tailor lyrics for her, there was also huge breakthroughs in her image and dances that suit her style on show within this album. This time around, A-fus music will not only be listenable, but also very exciting to watch!

【Fight for love】
Fight for love，是清楚知道自己該“為何而戰”所做出的宣言。為摯愛的音樂，為深愛的人，為值得爭取的一切去戰鬥。
『Even if I had a hundred reasons to leave you, I’d still look for that one reason to fight for you.』╴Cindy
<Fight for love> as the album name and the arrangement of all the songs was all done by producer Adia. These 8 songs follow the story of going from <darkness> until one has learned to become <Independent>, and then beginning to learn how to give in <Warmth>, knowing how to <Love>, until finally being able to find <happiness>. It also reflects Cindy yen's growth and changes in the last three years, and her understandings of love and relationships in different time frames.
"Fight for love" is being able to clearly know why one is fighting. Fighting for love of music, for someone you deeply love, for everything that is worth fighting for we will go to battle.
All these stories about fighting for love are Cindy Yen's and are also yours.

A-mei's latest album <Faces of Paranoia> is a well-tuned comeback for the Mandopop queen, who at this point had been on hiatus for about three years. But like I always say, quality is better than quantity always, and Amei's perfectionist side to her definitely saw this album through, making it one of the best, thought-provoking albums of 2014 for me. Her concept is impressive; set against a backdrop of white to represent purity, clarity and logic; A-Mei takes us on a journey with her, revealing slowly the grey that lies behind the facade of white, staining it with the aftermath of fear, paranoia and anxiety that is present in every one of our psyches. Genre-wise, Amei toys with the genres of Brit-rock hinting at electronic elements, before going full speed ahead in her second half of the album with a EDM-inspired take. To me this transition of genres in the album also reflect on the White to grey analogy I made previously; from the clean, simple lines of Brit rock to the heavy, grungy, dirty sounds of EDM, Amei has certainly made her point not only through the concept, but also through the arrangement of her songs.
